Our 100th episode! WizKids is creating a Dungeons and Dragons line of paints and miniatures on sprues, supposedly system agnostic. They are targeted at beginners, but will they cannibalize their pre-painted offerings? Unearthed Arcana is now officially off D&D Beyond. This previously served to circulate playtest materials, but it may have created more controversy for WotC than it was worth. Finally, we discuss the odd offering that is Warhammer+ It is a costly venture that Games Workshop has zero experience in doing well. Their previous apps and video content would not command a subscription price. So what is the motive? Leaving physical products to license an IP or making yourself appealing to Hasbro for sale? Only the heretical forces of the immaterium know!

With Games Workshop preferring eBay to your FLGS, exit that queue and back the new expansion for Forbidden Psalm, a miniatures skirmish game using the setting of the Mork Borg TTRPG. WotC is playtesting Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos, based on the Magic: The Gathering cars set and stinking of Hogwarts. Finally, comicbook publisher, Magnetic Press, is getting into game publishing. They are planning releases to support their comics series, starting with Carbon Grey. The Weekly LIVE 096: RPG Kitchen, Call of Cthulhu 1st Edition 40th Anniversary Reprint, Dungeon Crawl Classics Dying Earth and TSR is Dead

We take a look at RPG Kitchen, a try before you buy online stoerfront for RPGs. Will this help indie developers get more exposure for their projects? Goodman Games is Kick-starting a setting for Jack Vance’s Dying Earth, one of the major influences for early D&D. Three main sourcebooks are being produced as well as 6 adventures in a boxed set. The books and illustrations are full of old school goodness. Chaosium is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Call of Cthulhu by Kick-starting a reprint of the 1st edition in both a 1 inch and 2 inch boxed set. The 1 inch includes the original contents of the game and the 2 inch includes 5 additional early supplements. There is no longer any company named TSR. The publisher of the Top Secret RPG has changed their name to Solarian Games and the controversial most recent interaction of TSR that included Ernie Gygax is now going by name Wonderfilled Inc. The Weekly LIVE 095: TSR Museum and Distancing, Game Shipping Costs More and Dukk Borg

We discuss the Lake Geneva Dugeon Hobby Shop museum set to open, or at least get a new parking lot and curator. Also, the list of professionals and events that are distancing themselves from the new TSR grows. Cargo shipping rates are up 300 to 400 percent currently. This is putting pressure on board game companies to shoulder that expense if it is temporary or pass it on to the customers. Probably the likely move. The solution would be stop printing boardgames in China, but why would anyone do that? Finally, for an escape for the ugliness we take a look at Dukk Borg by Gem Room Games and Nerdy Paper Games. A Mork Borg compatible game that combines dark metal and DuckTales. Anything that celebrates death metal aesthetics and Carl Barks influenced duck characters is worth a look.
