Idle Red Hands Weekly 043: Heroforge Kickstarter, Logo Reveal for Dune Movie, Skies of Fire, Dishonored TTRPG and Two Player Game Jam

Heroforge runs a Kickstarter campaign for the 2.0 version of its miniature printing system. Modiphius is publishing a TTRPG version of the Arcane Studios’ Dishonored video game franchise. A photo of the logo for the Denis Villeneuve directed Dune movie was revealed and then immediately enforced with copyright notices to take it down. The second boxed set for Aeronautica Imperialis is being released by Games Workshop featuring the T’au Empire Air Caste called Skies of Fire. Chris combines Thirst and Hunger solo RPGs to make a two-player game for the Two-Player Game Jam.

Idle Red Hands Weekly 041: Beyond the Monolith Cancelled, CMON Teburu, Riot Tabletop and Space Marine Adventures at Target

Monolith Games cancels the Kickstarter campaign for their new concept, Beyond the Monolith. CMON is working on a new interactive hybrid of technology and physical boardgames called Teburu. Riot Games launches Riot Tabletop, hoping to create a real-life toxic tabletop fanbase modeled on their League of Legends success and paid for with Chinese money. Games Workshop puts Space Marines Adventures in Target stores and Barnes and Noble makes exclusive expansions for it. Fantasy flight shutters their Interactive division. The TTRPG department is also laid off. We still don’t know what this means for their RPG systems and settings.

Idle Red Hands Weekly 034: Return of the Old World, Star Wars EU, Charlie’s Angels, Trophy RPG Play Session, Pathfinder Bundle and Battletech

Games Workshop is bringing back the Old World of Warhammer Fantasy Battles… in a few years. It will be the Horus Heresy of Age of Sigmar. The main difference being Horus didn’t end the universe. Kathleen Kennedy remains willfully ignorant of the Star Wars Expanded Universe as a source for inspiration for new films. Charlie’s Angels came and went without notice. Elizabeth Banks, the director, blames men. As you do. White Wolf’s Aberrant – Aeon Trinity Continuum makes you cut. Lyal pledged Cyberpapacy for TORG, continuing his streak. Battletech opens the pledgemanager for Clan Invasion. Jeremy fails to sell Lyal on the Trophy RPG by recounting their session last Saturday. Pathfinder First Edition Humble Bundle includes digital comics as well. On Kickstarter we talk about Good Society, a Jane Austen RPG, Trilemma, a compendium of system-independent adventure locations and Icaion by Tabula Games, their third game offering in the Mysthea Universe. Plus the worst Bela Lugosi impression. Ever.

Video: Unboxing Warhammer 40k Shadowspear

Unboxing the Warhammer 40k Shadowspear box set. This box leads up to the Vigilus campaign and contains Primaris Ultramarines versus Dark Legion. The Librarian in Phobos armor and the new daemon engine, the Venomcrawler, are the most notable part of the new miniatures. These are all new original sculpts and no repackaged sprues from previous releases. It contains a campaign book and two mini codexes. This refreshes a tired line of chaos space marine sculpts and gives the Phobos keyword more use for the Primaris.
