Altered Carbon is getting an RPG setting and a second season on Netflix. Hot Topic now has Critical Role gear. Mörk Borg by Stockholm Kartell, is being released by Free League’s new boutique imprint. The Love Domain for Clerics in 5E fails miserably and is being retooled. Ironsworn is a FREE TTRPG with co-op, solo and campaign modes. Foreign television dramas with subtitles help immerse you and give you great campaign setting ideas. We have some recommendations.

Idle Red Hands Weekly 043: Heroforge Kickstarter, Logo Reveal for Dune Movie, Skies of Fire, Dishonored TTRPG and Two Player Game Jam

Heroforge runs a Kickstarter campaign for the 2.0 version of its miniature printing system. Modiphius is publishing a TTRPG version of the Arcane Studios’ Dishonored video game franchise. A photo of the logo for the Denis Villeneuve directed Dune movie was revealed and then immediately enforced with copyright notices to take it down. The second boxed set for Aeronautica Imperialis is being released by Games Workshop featuring the T’au Empire Air Caste called Skies of Fire. Chris combines Thirst and Hunger solo RPGs to make a two-player game for the Two-Player Game Jam.

Various versions of The Rise of Skywalker have leaked. An Alan Dean Foster treatment and an early script draft by the dismissed director Colin Trevorrow. We have posted our review with the return of Alan to the podcast. DC Comics is releasing a 40-page sourcebook for their fantasy series, The Last God. Oni Press gets into boardgames. The return of the coolest boardgame to ever hit the planet (their words, not mine), Dark Tower is resurrected as The Return to Dark Tower. It burned up Kickstarter and hopefully won’t disappoint. Idle Red Hands Weekly 041: Beyond the Monolith Cancelled, CMON Teburu, Riot Tabletop and Space Marine Adventures at Target

Monolith Games cancels the Kickstarter campaign for their new concept, Beyond the Monolith. CMON is working on a new interactive hybrid of technology and physical boardgames called Teburu. Riot Games launches Riot Tabletop, hoping to create a real-life toxic tabletop fanbase modeled on their League of Legends success and paid for with Chinese money. Games Workshop puts Space Marines Adventures in Target stores and Barnes and Noble makes exclusive expansions for it. Fantasy flight shutters their Interactive division. The TTRPG department is also laid off. We still don’t know what this means for their RPG systems and settings.

Idle Red Hands Weekly 040 – Dune 2d20 RPG, Conan Conversion, The Witcher TV Series. Lost in Space and Sisters of Battle

Frank Herberts’s Dune in 2020. Galeforce9 holds the right and released an update of the classic boardgame. Modiphius will release a 2d20 variant of a Dune RPG. Denis Villeneuve is directing a remake of the film with Timothée Chalamet in the role of Paul Atreides. Modiphius has released a conversion kit for their 2d20 Conan and John Carter of Mars, if you want more pulp mechanics in your Adventures in an Age Undreamed Of. The Netflix Witcher series is creating a renewed popularity in the CDPR Witcher 3 video game and the physical copies of The Witcher TTRPG by R. Talsorian Games are now sold out. Plenty of coin for your Witcher. The Sisters of Battle Army box can still be found at retail in Japan. Chris will be working on a TTRPG one-shot similar to the Deathwatch adventure we played featuring the Adeptus Sororitas. Lost in Space releases season two on Netflix. The Doctor Smith character is a great way to play a villain in a secret agenda-based TTRPG.
